Birds and wildlife
Wildlife and birds are abundant
and varied in the area, with frequent deer and turkey sightings, along with
raccoons and the occasional fox and flying squirrel. We frequently hear coyotes
in the evenings calling across the lake.
The many species of bird include a pair of nesting loons which produced two
offspring two years ago (but not last year). Below is a list of bird species
we often see from the house (in spring and summer we have a huge selection of
migrants):
